Currently we are exploring art around the world this year. We are exploring artists and folk art from various cultures and countries! This was our last Hispanic Heritage Month lesson and we combined both Pablo Picasso and Frida Kahlo into one art project! We explored the style of each artist and used Picasso style portraits to make a portrait of Frida! These were done by my fabulous first graders!
We used pencil to draw our Frida Portraits, sharpie to outline, crayon to color and watercolor paint for our background! The students loved how funky Frida now looks!
Creative wishes art world! Enjoy!
